Native to Africa, Couch is very common throughout a wide range of climatic areas around the globe. It can be found in many different parts of Australia, especially in its coastal areas.
There are three different types of Couch grass: Common Couch, South African Couch and then a cross between the two, which is called a Hybrid Couch. Common Couch is propagated by seed, sprigs, runners and plugs
